Clovis Schools Test Scores Tops Again
Each spring, all California students (grades 2-11) must take a series of tests that comprise the STAR program, which is designed to demonstrate the mastery of students’ standards in English/language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. Once again, the Clovis United School District (CUSD) scored better than any other district in the Clovis / Fresno area.
In Clovis Unified, 68.3% of Clovis Unified students were proficient or advanced in English-language arts and nearly 66% were proficient or advanced in math, well above the state scores of 46%. By contrast, in Fresno Unified only 35.9% of students tested as proficient in English-language arts and 37% were proficient or advanced in math — below state percentages.
