Potential $15,000 Tax Credit for ALL Clovis Home Buyers?
2010 Tax Credit Extension Possible
The Washington Post reports there’s a pending bill to extend the $8,000 tax credit — for ALL Clovis home buyers — not just first-time home buyers.
That’s potentially great news for ALL Clovis home buyers (and sellers). The $8,000 tax credit (which currently only applies to first-time Clovis home buyers) expires soon — November 30th, 2009. But according to the Post, a bill is pending in both the U.S. House and Senate that would raise the credit amount to a maximum of $15,000. Experts also believe the credit will not only be extended but perhaps even broadened to cover ALL buyers next year. It’s too early to know what will happen but experts have said the chances of increasing the amount to $15,000 aren’t as good as extending the coverage. Either way, extending the tax credit will help the Clovis real estate market continue to recover.
