Best Places to Live in Clovis
Clovis has a number of exceptional communities. It’s hard to pick the best places to live in Clovis. So we compiled some information to help you decided. Below is a list of some of the best Clovis neighborhoods based on location, parks, style of homes, schools, and overall lifestyle.
Loma Vista
Clovis has two master-planned communities. The newest of these is Loma Vista. Work continues on this 3,300-acre community that surrounds two community centers — a business complex and the Reagan Educational Center.
The heart of the community will be a multi-faceted central park with an amphitheater, fountain and trellis, which will provide beautifully landscaped space for community and cultural events. The surrounding homes and businesses built in the Craftsman-style are connected to each other and the park through a series of paseos (walkways) — a unique way to link the community. More Loma Vista Information.
Harlan Ranch
The other popular planned community is the 400-acre Harlan Ranch in north Clovis. Reflecting the area’s rural history, it is centered around Clovis Unified School District’s fifth educational complex that includes a community recreation center.
Harlan Ranch contains a mixture of housing styles and neighborhoods connected with the business and education centers by walkways. More Harlan Ranch information.
Quail Lake
One of the more prestigious communities is a private lakeside community called Quail Lake. Located just outside the city of Clovis, this a lakeside community offers a way of living not found anywhere else in Fresno or Clovis. Boasting one of the top charter schools in the state, breathtaking Clovis homes with water views, and a serene setting, this community is one of the most sought after Clovis areas to live. More information on Quail Lake.
Old Town Clovis
If new construction isn’t your thing, the older homes located near Old Town (downtown) area offer a certain quality of life unavailable in the newer gated Clovis communities. For example, area locals often enjoy a walk in the evening and take advantage of the city’s weekly Farmer’s Markets. Downtown residents can often beat the crowd to some of the area’s most popular restaurants, like the Corner Cafe on Pollasky and the Trelio a California-infusion experience.
